God’s Delight
What is one way you and I can pray to the living God of the Bible?
Using Psalm 37:23 the following is one way to pray:
(NASB) Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a man are established by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.”
‘LORD, these thoughts, these facts astound me –
1- You establish my steps!
2- You delight in my way!
This gives You pleasure to establish where I am to walk through this day and You are delighted! And to think that I am acceptable to You, O God!’
(NASB) Romans 12:1 “THEREFORE I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”
Continuing to pray using Romans 12:1
‘LORD, when I am rejected by others (whoever they are), it is by Your mercies that I can offer You my body as a living sacrifice. You want sacrificial living. To live sacrificially and so to be set apart to worship, adore and serve You.
You accept such a sacrifice and You delight in it. You call this sacrifice my spiritual act of worship.
(NASB) Psalm 8:1 “O LORD, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth…”
In the name of Jesus, Amen.’
