Being a follower of Christ is to be lived out day by day…

We have choices to make: either growing and maturing by God’s words which teach us how to live OR ignoring God’s words and focusing on what others say about Him or becoming more entrenched in what we imperfectly believe about Him.

 

(NASB) Galatians 5:1 “IT WAS for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”

 

Freedom is to follow Christ by standing firm in faith in Him, His work on the cross, His words of salvation, His promises of hope in His ultimate power.
Enslavement is to be controlled and hampered by turning from God and His truth.

 

For the followers of Christ:
Set free from enslavement that life without God brings…

Set free for following Christ out of love for Him…

Set free to stand fast in faith in Christ…

Set free to be controlled by the Holy Spirit of God…

Set free to be guided by God the Holy Spirit through belief in Christ Jesus by the will of God the Father…

Set free to love the living God of the Bible and to love our neighbors.

 

Freedom for the followers of Christ came at a great cost to the Lord Jesus Christ. How are you living in His freedom?
