What did Jesus say was the greatest commandment when asked by the Jewish legal leaders?
(NASB) Matthew 22:37-40 “… ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
38 ‘This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 ‘The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
40 ‘On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.’ ”

These two commandments sum up the Ten Commandments; the first four commandments are in relation to God and the six concluding commandments are in relation to how to treat others.

Consider the following questions in relation to the first great commandment:
1- Where do you consider God in your life?

2- Is He your number one priority?

3- Are you living to please Him?

4- Do you spend time with Him in reading/studying His word (the Holy Bible) and prayer, with no outside interruptions?

Consider the following questions in relation to the second great commandment:
5- When you become angry with another or have your feelings hurt – do you love that one as you do yourself?  Do you give that one the benefit of the doubt as you would yourself?

6- Are you quick to forgive?

7- Do you love others enough to warn them when they are entering into dangerous waters?

With the above questions – what is your answer to each one?
