In a letter written to Timothy from Paul (See 2 Timothy 1:1-2):

(NASB) 2 Timothy 3:15 “…that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

Those who come to faith in Christ Jesus as a child are blessed.  Godly parents, grandparents, other relatives and teachers who believe in Christ Jesus pass their knowledge on to bless children.

Who taught Timothy during his childhood?
(NASB) 2 Timothy 1:5 “For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.”

Parents!  Grandparents!  Your faith…or lack of faith…will be taught (not caught) by your child(ren).
Think about the baby who is ‘in utero’.  Mothers what you listen to, what you say, and how you react to circumstances can impact that baby…
Teaching toddlers of Jesus’ love can be done through prayer before eating (even snacks).  As they are taught how to share their toys with another child, again the love for Jesus is even in that basic teaching time.  There are very good Bible Studies where parents go and the children are not ‘baby-sat’ but are taught Who Jesus is and that God’s words are true.

One such Bible study is Bible Study Fellowship, International.  To find a class near you go to www.bsfinternational.org.  This organization is also in many countries.

As a child grows in comprehension they can be led by wisdom to know Christ Jesus as their Savior.  What are you doing to impact a child’s belief in Christ Jesus?

A Parent’s Sincere Faith will be a godly influence in the life of a child.

(NASB) Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go,

Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
