Herod the king had John the Baptist killed…as Jesus was traveling toward Jerusalem some Pharisees warned Jesus that Herod wanted to kill Him also.  Why would they say this?  Were they really warning Jesus or were they trying to intimidate Him, to scare Him with the threat of death by Herod?

Jesus never backed off but answered the challenge:
(NASB) Luke 13:32 “And He said to them, ‘Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I reach My goal.”

Then Jesus went on to say that He must continue His journey to Jerusalem where the prophets perish.  Jesus knew that There Was No Other Way to fulfill Scripture, to fulfill His Father’s will, and to secure salvation for everyone who would put their faith in Him.

Jesus never wavered – He steadfastly walked toward His goal:
Jerusalem
Suffering
Death
Burial
Resurrection!

Jesus’ goal: He had to go through Jerusalem and the cross… There Was No Other Way.

What does the world teach?  Have you not heard that there are many roads which lead to heaven, have you not heard that if you’re a good person, you’re good enough?

My friend, There Was No Other Way for your salvation to be accomplished – salvation can only come through Jesus Christ.
Salvation can only come through belief in Jesus to forgive your sins, to redeem you from your sins and to give you eternal life There Was No Other Way.

As Easter is just two weeks away, will you think about Jesus and what He has done for you because There Was No Other Way.
