The road to Calvary – the Cross on which Jesus would (and did) die was not unexpected or surprising to Him.  This was why He came into the world.

Why did the Father send His Son into the world?
(NASB) John 3:17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

Why did Jesus willingly come into the world to die?
(NASB) Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Why do you and I need Jesus?  Because without Him we are lost.

Jesus is of great value to all who respond to His ‘Come to me’.  It is Jesus alone Who can save…there is none other.
Jesus told a parable about the kingdom of heaven.  He likened heaven to a merchant who looked for fine pearls, pearls of great price.  When that merchant found a pearl of great value, he went away and sold all he had in order to buy that pearl.  (See Matthew 13:45)

When we become followers of Christ by faith in Him, we too will need to get rid of whatever holds us back from following Him.  He is of inestimable value.

Why do you and I need Jesus?  Because without Him we are lost.

Why should we worship this Jesus?
Because it is Jesus Who died to save us.  Like a precious pearl, He is of great worth and worthy to be adored, praised and worshiped.

Jesus came into the world to save you!
