Jesus asked His disciples a penetrating question and He asks us that same question.
(NASB) Matthew 16:15 “He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ ”

Simon Peter came up with the right answer with his declaration:
(NASB) Matthew 16:16 “Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ ”

Jesus’ question is one He can also ask you… “Who do you say I am?”
Do you, as many people do, declare Jesus to be a ‘good man’, a prophet, a teacher, a Jew…or do you declare Jesus to be the Son of the living God as Simon Peter did?
Do you say that Jesus is your Savior?
Do you say that Jesus is your Master (Lord)?
Do you say that Jesus is your God (LORD)?
Do you say that Jesus is the One you worship, love and adore?

What you believe about Jesus, what you say about Jesus and Who He is…does affect you…for eternity.

Who did Jesus credit for Simon Peter’s answer?  God the Father was given the credit, not Peter.
(NASB) Matthew 16:17 “And Jesus said to him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon bar-jona (son of Jonah), because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

How have you responded to God the Father and His true word?
