Yesterday, an episode in the life of Zacchaeus was paraphrased.  Using that same Scripture reference (Luke 19:1-10), this devotional will explore that story from another vantage point:

This is my story also, is it yours?
It was Jesus Who noticed Zacchaeus…it is Jesus Who has noticed you also.
It was Jesus Who asked to go to Zacchaeus’ house; has He asked to go to your house?
It was Jesus Who wanted to be welcomed by Zacchaeus, have you welcomed Him into your life?  (Your every day duties, dilemmas and delights?)
It was Jesus Who desired a response from Zacchaeus…what is your response to Jesus?  Have you given Him a sacrifice of your time, your love, your monies, and your devotion?
It was Jesus Who welcomed Zacchaeus into His family…Jews and Gentiles are included in Jesus’ open, welcoming arms of love (compare God’s love with other ‘god’s’ hatred toward their enemies).
It was Jesus Who came to seek Zacchaeus up in that tree in Jericho…Jesus seeks you where you live.
It was Jesus Who came to save Zacchaeus from being ‘lost’.  I too was lost, are you?

It is Jesus Who has come to seek you and to save you from being lost.  If you have been found by Him; who do you know who also needs to be found by Jesus?

What is your story?
