(NASB) Matthew 5:17-18 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.”

Jesus prophesied His death:
(NASB) Matthew 16:21 “From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.”

Followers of Christ believe in the living, resurrected LORD Jesus Christ.  There were many proofs of His actual resurrection for 40 days after His resurrection and before He went into heaven.

Prophecy fulfilled:
(NASB) Acts 1:1-3 “THE FIRST account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach,
2 until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.
3 To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.”

Jesus proved that He had an actual physical body…made up of bone and muscle.  He was seen, touched, heard…by those followers who believed in Him.  And not only those 11 men (Judas Iscariot had committed suicide) but also as many as 500 at one time!  (See 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

This testimony of John, one of the disciples:
(NASB) 1 John 1:1-3 “WHAT WAS from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life –
2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us –
3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

Followers of Christ have a unique God to worship;

He is the living, resurrected LORD!
