Living a life filled with the Spirit of God will mean we are living transformed lives.
  Everyone has things in their past and in their present which are not pleasing to God.  That is why we need Jesus to save us from wrong thinking and thoughts we have hidden in the cupboards of our minds.
(See Romans 12:1-2)

  To live by the Spirit of God will mean I need to be sacrificial, giving up ‘my’ wants and desires…keeping my focus on God and what is pleasing to Him.  What causes me anger at others?  Is it because they don’t treat me right?  Is it because I don’t get my way?

  What does God’s word say about this?
(NASB) Romans 12:10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord”

  ‘In today’s world’, we are to put ourselves first.  We are a ‘me’ society.  After all, who else will look out for us?  We have our ‘rights’ and our ‘wants’ that we need to protect at any and all costs.  Do you know people who think this way?

  God’s people are to live transformed lives…to be devoted to one another in brotherly love – giving preference to others in honor and respect.  We are not to be dragging our feet, but to diligently serve the Lord, being fervent spiritually as we serve Him.

Transformed lives…what does your life look like?
