Jesus offers “living water”.  He offered it to the woman at the well in Samaria…a woman who was living with a man not her husband.  She had been married five times…Jesus knew this and He still offered His gift of living water to her.

  Jesus offers life giving water…not stale or stagnate water, not polluted water, but pure water.  Think about a stream of water, it is ever moving, fresh and unpolluted.  It provides nutrients and life to all which live in it.

  Jesus offers His Holy Spirit and gives Him freely to all who ask Jesus to be their Savior.  This is a mystery and it is also true…when anyone asks Jesus to be their Savior – at that very moment – He gives His Holy Spirit to live within.  God’s Holy Spirit is life in the “here and now” and into eternity.

  God promises His people His guidance, His strength for this day, the refreshing water of His Holy Spirit.
(NASB) Isaiah 58:11 “And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give you strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.”
