(NIV) James 3:18 “Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.”

Being a peacemaker is sacrificial work.  Christ Jesus is the ultimate Peacemaker.  He has made peace between His followers (those who have faith in Him) and God.  In order to make that peace possible He had to sacrificially go to the altar of the cross.

In order for anyone to have that peace, Christ Jesus must be accepted as our Savior, saving us from our sins.  The Holy Spirit of God is given and lives within all who have received this great gift of life.  Good News!

In God’s wisdom, He gave His only begotten Son to be our Peacemaker.

As a follower of Christ Jesus, we also are called to be peacemakers…sowing peace by our attitudes, motives, words and actions.

What is God’s expectation of His children?

(NIV) Philippians 1:9-11 “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.”

Indeed, a harvest of righteousness will be gathered when we work in sync with God as peacemakers.

How shall you be a peacemaker today?
