God’s Wisdom: Impartial
Did you know that God has no “favorites”? He does not show partiality. How thankful I am…each person is loved by God, equally. This was demonstrated by Jesus’ death on the cross for everyone’s sins.
(NASB) John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
Note: this promise has a condition attached: “that whoever believes in Him shall not perish”. Belief in Jesus, and what He has done by dying on the cross and being resurrected from the grave, is essential and personal. Each person is to accept this wonderful and free gift for them.
Each person is responsible for being judged and condemned by their unbelief or pardoned through their faith that Jesus died for their sins.
(NASB) John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
God did not show partiality when His Son died on the cross and we are not to show partiality in our relationships – in our homes, at our work, in our churches, or in our ministries.
In our relationships we are to exercise Godly wisdom and not have “favorites” (giving more attention or showing special attention in group situations).
At the same time, we need to be aware of our hurt feelings when we feel slighted or others receive special favors/attention. (Forgive quickly!)
Impartial actions are an example of Godly wisdom for that is what God does.
(NASB) 2 Chronicles 19:7 “Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.”
