Pride is 180 degrees from humility.

  How does God “see” pride and arrogance?

(NIV) Proverbs 8:13 “To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.”

  Where does pride lead you?

(NIV) Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.”

  What is a wise choice?

(NASB) Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes dishonor,
But with the humble is wisdom.”

  God commends those who fully give themselves to Him.  True humility is in placing yourself under His authority.  Then God is exalted!  Anyone exalting themselves will be humbled! (See (NIV) Matthew 23:12 “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”)

  When you are faced with opposition – what is the first thing to do?

Seek God’s guidance.

 When you have a contentious person in your daily life – what is the first thing to do?

Seek God’s guidance.

 

  What will be the results of seeking God’s guidance, over and over?

(NIV) James 3:13 “Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”
