45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,”

  It is the Lord Who gives understanding of His word.
  How can you and I understand Scripture?
       1. Pray before reading the Holy Bible, asking for insight from God’s perspective.
       2. Read and study the Bible for ourselves.
       3. Listen to sound teaching…does it agree with the Bible?
       4. Read authors who do not add or subtract from what the Bible is saying.
       5. Attend a Bible study where God’s truths are proclaimed, agreeing with what the Bible states.
      6. Make wise decisions about who to listen to and be confident they are teaching God’s truths ~ ask this question: do they agree with Scripture?
      7. To make sound decisions – we need to study, to know the Bible for ourselves.
