Some people demand proof and when presented with the facts, still reject truth.
  The disciples of Jesus were hiding through fear and then they were presented with the fact of Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus appeared to them – behind a locked door. They were frightened…they were startled…because they had rejected the eye-witness accounts of His being physically alive after having died on the cross and having been buried.

  Notice Jesus’ first words to them “Peace be with you” (NIV Luke 24:36):
(NASB) Luke 24:38-43 “And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?”
39 “See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”
40 And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.
41 While they still could not believe it because of their joy and amazement, He said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
42 they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish;
43 and He took it and ate it before them.”

Proofs presented by Jesus of His resurrection:
     1. He had a physical body of flesh and bones.
     2. The nail prints could be clearly seen in His hands and feet.
     3. He ate physical food in their presence.

  Jesus would appear over a period of forty days, showing various people proofs of His resurrection (See Acts 1:3).

  When these disciples finally believed Jesus to be resurrected they were filled with joy and amazement.

(NASB) Psalm 28:6-7
“Praise be to the LORD,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
And I will give thanks to him in song.”

When unbelief accepts the truth of Jesus’ resurrection,
praise and worship results.
