On the first day of the week, two people were going from Jerusalem to Emmaus. As they walked they were discussing recent events which left them filled with sorrow. Another joined them and asked what they were talking about. Then “He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” (See verse 27)

(NASB) Luke 24:28-29 “And they approached the village where they were going, and He acted as though He were going farther.
29 But they urged Him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is getting toward evening, and the day is now nearly over. So He went in to stay with them.”

Jesus approached these two people, joining them in their journey. He was accepted by these travelers on their way to their destination. Jesus did not intrude forcefully. He did not demand to be heard. He was listened to and then He was urged and given a personal invitation to join them for a meal. Jesus accepted that invitation.

Accepting Jesus’ joining you…
What about your journey? Have you accepted Jesus on the way to your destination today? Jesus did not intrude forcefully then nor will He intrude forcefully today into your life. But He is available for you.

Listening to Jesus ~ reading the Holy Bible…
He did not demand to be heard; yet, He was listened to, followed by an invitation to join them for a meal.
Jesus will not demand that you listen to Him; are you listening? His words reveal Himself, His Father, and the way we are to live pleasing to God.

When anyone asks Jesus to join them, He will reveal Himself.
