Darkness was over the land for three hours ““ there are no recorded words of Jesus during this time. His full concentration and His full co-operation in taking your sins and mine was on Him as He endured the separation from His Father. He fully met all of God”™s requirements for our sins, because they became as if they were His own.

God”™s judgment was illustrated by the darkness over the land.

(NASB) Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”

Jesus said:

(NIV) Matthew 12:36-37 “But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

We have two options and either option is our own choice while we live:

  1. We accept Christ Jesus as the One Who received God”™s judgment for our sins.

OR

  1. We reject Christ Jesus and receive God”™s judgment for our sins.

Where will God”™s judgment fall when you stand before Him?

Jesus”™ astounding co-operation came out of His love for you. You, only you, can receive His sacrificial love in your behalf.
