Pilate had asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

(NASB) John 18:36 “Jesus answered, “˜My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”™”

Jesus agreed with Pilate ““ He is a king”¦but “˜not of this realm.”™ Notice that Jesus did not say another world or country but “˜of this realm”™.

Heaven is a specific place”¦it is not the figment of anyone”™s imagination. In (NASB) Deuteronomy 26:15 “Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven”¦”

Heaven is the place God inhabits”¦He is there.

Jesus has authority in heaven and on earth to be king over all. After Jesus”™ resurrection He said to the eleven disciples:

(NASB) Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “˜All authority has been give to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Jesus”™ authority to rule and reign as King was given by God the Father. There is no higher authority”¦none.

People bow to kings, queens, potentates and rulers today. However, one day, all knees will bow before The King of heaven and earth”¦the Lord Jesus Christ”¦authorized by God the Father.

Jesus was about to go to the cross with the sins of the world on Him and yet, here He states that He is the King. Consider carefully the following Scripture:

(NASB) Philippians 2:5-11 “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant, and being made in the likeness of men.

8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

What attitude do you have before Jesus Christ”¦the coming King?
