The Jews put Jesus into the hands of Pilate for the sentence of death. The Jews had stated their case to Pilate: Jesus was subverting their nation, He was evading taxes to Rome AND He claimed to be Christ (Messiah), a king.

Notice the charge which Pilate picked to question Jesus:

(NIV) John 18:33 “Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “˜Are you the king of the Jews?”™”

Pilate had ascertained that Jesus was not a rebel”¦He didn”™t act like a rebel nor speak like a rebel. Pilate would have an interchange with Jesus and then come to the conclusion: “I find no basis for a charge against him.” (See John 18:38)

Why? For what intention do you search for God? Is it for your own “˜righteousness”™ to be seen by you and others, and hopefully God?

When anyone searches for God, the first place to look is in the Holy Bible and to believe what God has to say to you as you read the Bible.

(NIV) Psalm 1:1-2 “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.”

(NIV) Psalm 119:97-98 “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.

98Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me.”

Why? For What Intention do you have a Bible or go to church? How do you answer Jesus Who said at one point in His ministry:

(NIV) John 5:39-40 “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, 40yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”

Why? For What Intention”¦do you read the Scriptures?

Why? For What Intention”¦have you refused to go to Jesus and receive eternal life?
