We have just celebrated Easter”¦the greatest holy day in Christendom.

Christ has risen! He is risen indeed!

This devotional is still “˜back there”™ before Jesus”™ death on the cross:

How had Jesus reacted to the Jewish leaders who had illegally brought Him to trial? What were the perspectives of the ruling body of the Jews? What was the perspective of Jesus Himself?

At the break of day ““ on the day Jesus would die, the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law “˜tried”™ Jesus. They asked Him point blank, “If you are the Christ, tell us.” (See Luke 22:66-67 NIV)

Jesus responded, knowing they had already come to their conclusions”¦”If I tell you, you will not believe me, and if I asked you, you would not answer.” Jesus did not try to persuade them or argue with them”¦but He did state the fact of Who He was!

(NASB) Luke 22:69 “But from now onTHE SON OF MAN WILL BE SEATED AT THE RIGHT HANDof the power of God.”

Picture the scene”¦all those men waiting to hear what Jesus would say”¦then into the quiet of that room, all their voices raised asking the question: “Are You the Son of God, then?” And Jesus firm and assured replied, “Yes, I am.”

Those men had accomplished their purpose from their perspective”¦Jesus would die. They “˜heard”™ blasphemy but they did not “˜hear”™ the true claim of Jesus.

Consider this same scene from God”™s perspective. His goal was also in sight”¦to save many people from their sins through the perfect sacrifice of the Son of God. Jesus would die.

Perspective”¦how do you view your life? Is it through your understanding, or from God”™s point of view?

(NIV) Isaiah 55:6-9

“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

7Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts.

Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

8“˜For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”™ declares the LORD.

9“˜As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Your perspective will depend on how you respond to God and His truth.
