Did you know that Christ taught the Golden Rule from a positive perspective? Many other world religions state this same thought in a negative way. They seek to avoid doing bad things toward others. One example is: “Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.” Christ Jesus”™ positive perspective commands a higher standard of conduct toward others. “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Did you know that Christ exemplified His own words on the night He was betrayed and falsely accused?

(NIV) Luke 6:27-31 “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do

good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Did you know that Christ endured harsh treatment so you and I could be healed (forgiven) for sin, protected from Satan and to never be separated from God?

(NASB) 1 Peter 2:20-24 “For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.

21 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,

22 WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;

23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”
