The power of attorney is a legal execution in any legal and binding decision which has been conferred in another”™s behalf.

Think about this: Jesus has given His followers the power of attorney when we pray in His name.

(NASB) John 16:23-24 “In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in my name, He will give it to you.

24 “˜Until now you have asked for nothing in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.”

Jesus has opened wide the door to what God the Father will give when we use the name of Jesus in our prayers. Whatever the Son (Jesus Christ) approves, His followers are granted their requests. Asking for anything in the name of Jesus is to use the authority He gives to His followers. To ask anything in the name of Jesus is to receive what He would give.

When you use the name of Jesus ““ don”™t you need to be sure it is a request which would be approved and authorized by the Lord Jesus?

Prayers, our prayers, are to be specific. Our prayers are to be thoughtfully phrased. Our prayers need to agree with God”™s words in Scripture. (There are times “˜arrow”™ prayers are sent shooting up to heaven in emergency situations.)

We have responsibility to carefully consider our prayer requests

in the name of Jesus.

Remember:

God cannot answer prayers which are contradictory to His word or His nature.

Jesus has given His followers the power of attorney when we pray in His name. We have been approved and authorized by Jesus Himself.
