Jesus was talking with His disciples during the Last Supper”¦His words are true, honest and forthright. He can be fully trusted to tell you and me the truth.

(NASB) John 14:19 “After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.”

Jesus”™ words were not fully understood by His disciples until after His death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus warned these men that in the hours ahead He would be gone”¦He would be crucified, He would die and be buried.

Jesus also gave encouragement to them”¦after three days He would be resurrected and He would show Himself to these same men.

Jesus then gave hope in what would seemingly be a hopeless situation; His followers would see Him, alive, risen from the tomb of death.

What a promise Jesus gave “because I live, you will live also.”

Why is it important for Jesus”™ followers to recognize His words of truth?

The life of the follower of Christ is dependent on the resurrected life of Christ. Because Jesus is alive today, at the right hand of the Father, His followers will also have resurrected life in eternity.

(NASB) John 14:20 “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

Christ”™s life is given to His followers ~

Because Christ lives, His followers will also live.

Our lives are to be lives of victory”¦for our Savior is undefeated!

Our lives are to be lives of joy”¦not sorrow;

for our Savior is the Resurrected Living Jesus.
