Jesus”™ power was exhibited when He died on the cross. (He intentionally stayed in that place of sacrificial death for you and me ““ that took staying power. See Matthew 27:39-40)

Jesus”™ power was exhibited when He came to life from the grave of death. (No one can willfully come to life”¦this was an act of God. See Matthew 28:2-7)

Jesus”™ power was exhibited when He ascended into heaven. (It is there He sat down on the right hand of the Father. See Mark 16:19)

Jesus”™ power was exhibited when He sent His Holy Spirit into the lives of His followers. (He still exhibits this same power today in anyone who turns to Him to be saved from their sins. See Acts 1:7-8; 2:1-4)

Jesus exhibits His power when He answers prayer said in His name.

(NASB) John 14:13-14 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 “˜If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.“

Why is Jesus”™ name not to be lightly used as a superstitious ending to prayer?

1- Jesus”™ name reveals Who He is and what He has done for all who believe in Him.

Savior~ (“He will save His people from their sins” ““ Matthew 1:21)

Immanuel~ (“God with us” ““ Matthew 1:23)

2- Jesus”™ name brings glory to the Father.

3- Jesus”™ name is powerful because He is God.

4- Jesus has promised to do what He is asked when we are in agreement with His words.

5- Jesus”™ work continues to be done ““ for He will answer the prayers of those who live by faith in Him. (See John 14:12)

The name of Jesus is important and powerful.
