The dictionary defines “˜glorify”™ as: to give glory, to exalt (God) as in worship; to honor, to extol.

And “˜glory”™ is defined as: great honor or fame, adoration, great splendor”¦

Jesus used glorify and glorified several times as He was explaining to His eleven disciples what would shortly happen”¦no more waiting for God”™s timing, His time had come.

(NASB) John 13:31-32 “Therefore when he (Judas Iscariot) had gone out, Jesus said, “˜Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him;

32 if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.”

Jesus knew what the end result of Judas Iscariot”™s betrayal meant. It was time for the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) to be honored and exalted in God the Father.

Notice verse 31, Jesus spoke as if all had taken place! His death, His resurrection and ascension into heaven was accomplished from Jesus”™ perspective.

Jesus”™ logic was expressed as He gave what was in His mind.

If God the Father was exalted and honored in Jesus”™ death, resurrection and ascension, then the Father would exalt and honor His Son in Himself. This glorification, this honor, this exaltation would glorify God immediately. No more waiting.

What are some possibilities of the meaning of this for me today? Jesus went into heaven as the Son of Man ““ He was fully accepted by God the Father. When I receive (ask) Jesus to be my Savior, I too, am fully accepted into God”™s presence because Jesus is my Savior. There are no other gods, or ways anyone can live in the very presence of the holy God of the Bible other than through the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone has been accepted by God the Father.

All followers of Christ have a hope and a future”¦it is for sure and for certain”¦NO DOUBTS ABOUT THIS FACT!

(NIV) Hebrews 11:1 “NOW FAITH is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

As a follower of Christ I am to live this day by faith in the living God of the Bible.

Come and rejoice ~

you also can have a sure salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
