God”™s promises are throughout the Holy Bible. Trusting God to fulfill His promises is to grow in your faith. His promises are personal”¦and He uses a personal pronoun”¦”˜you”™.

(NASB) Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you.”

(Underlining added)

You are important to God”¦

His promises are for ““ YOU.

There are three personal prerequisites involved in the above verse:

Ask Seek Knock

You and I are required to expend energy, depend upon God to answer and we need to persevere”¦prayers are not just words to be mouthed; they are to be said from the heart and many times with a sense of urgency.

What is the personal prospect for you in this one verse?

When you ask, you will be given!

When you seek, you will find!

When you knock, the door will be opened to you!

When you pray, do you pray expecting God to hear you and answer your prayer? So many times, I find I pray without expecting God to really hear me; after all He”™s the Creator of the universe, and He is the One Who sets up kings and brings about His will through events that involve nations.

To think that He hears my prayers! Amazing, but true.

Jesus said in His Sermon on the Mount:

(Amplified) Matthew 7:7 “Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and (the door) will be opened.”

You are to personally persevere in prayer”¦and God Himself promises to hear and be responsive to your prayers.
