What seems to be the “˜norm”™ in the world today? Peace at any price? Peace that comes about by outward forms of overtures to our “˜enemies”™ of the past? The peace process that comes in the form of treaties, which are on paper and seem to mean little to those signing them?

Is peace being pursued on a personal level without regard to the world”™s chaos (who could care less for true peace)?

What does God say about peace and peacemakers?

(NASB) Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

If you and I promote peace ““ we will not be plotting evil. Our motives, actions and words are not to be deceitful. True promotion of peace that comes from God will produce joy within, and this is promised by God.

(See Proverbs 12:20)

How is anyone to come to the Lord for His peace?

(NASB) Psalm 34:11-14 “Come, you children, listen to me:

I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good?

13 Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.

14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.”

Do you have the peace that God gives?

(Amplified Bible) Isaiah 26:3-4 “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”

Where do you place your trust?

To whom have you committed yourself?

On whom do you lean?

Where have you placed your confident trust?

Do you know the Rock of Ages?

Are you blessed by God because you are a peacemaker?

(NASB) Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
