The Psalmist found it pleasant and fitting to praise God! (See Psalm 147:1)

(NASB) Psalm 147:2-5 “the Lord builds up Jerusalem;

He gathers the outcasts of Israel.

3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

4 He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.

5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.”

Examples of God”™s power are given in the above Psalm. (Underlining added)

Jesus”™ power was demonstrated through His healing & teaching ministry.

(NASB) Luke 4:33-37 “In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,

34 “˜Let us alone! What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are”“the Holy One of God!”™”

Demons recognized Jesus as a Man Who was from Nazareth and as the Messiah! (The Holy One from God)

The demon used the man”™s voice (and it was LOUD). This demon was disruptive, discourteous and had the fear of being destroyed by Jesus.

How did Jesus handle this distressing situation?

(NASB) Luke 4:35 “But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “˜Be quiet and come out of him!”™ And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm.”

(NIV) Psalm 66:3 “Say to God, “˜How awesome are your deeds!

So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.”

(NASB) Luke 4:36-37 “And amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another saying, “˜What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out.”™

37 And the report about Him was spreading into every locality in the surrounding district.”

Jesus”™ power is with the full authority of God!

Jesus”™ power is greater than your problems!
