Jesus left His comfort zone in heaven and came to earth as a baby, conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit. Jesus left His comfort zone in Nazareth as He stepped into history and went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John.

A comfort zone is whatever we are used to, a life-style, a way of dealing with life. Jesus left His comfort zone to fulfill God”™s purpose in our behalf.

Don”™t we need to “˜purpose to obey God”™? Don”™t we need to be ready to leave our comfort zones ““ so that His will for our lives be fulfilled?

(NASB) Matthew 3:13 “Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him.”

Jesus purposely went to where John was baptizing people. Jesus fulfilled John”™s ministry through obedience to His Father.

Do you know where God wants you to go and what He wants you to do now?

If the answer is “˜yes”™, are you being obedient?

If the answer is “˜no”™, are you searching the Scriptures and prayerfully seeking His will for you?

When you understand God”™s direction ““ how do you respond?

How we respond to God does affect our relationship with Him.

If we are followers of Christ ““ obedience to God”™s word is imperative. If we disobey, then we need to confess our sin of disobedience, turn from willfulness and turn to the living God.

Jesus purposed to obey His Father ““ since the Son of God obeyed His Father ““ how much more do you and I need to obey, to have that kind of mind-set.

Leaving willful sin ~ may take you out of your comfort zone”¦

Turning to God ~ may take you out of your comfort zone”¦

Purposing to obey God ~ is to leave your comfort zone”¦
