Think about the impressiveness of Jesus at the age of 12:

(NASB) Luke 2:49 “And He said to them, “˜Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father”™s house?”™”

Jesus understood Who He was”¦the Son of God

Jesus understood Who His Father was”¦

Jesus understood His Father”™s business”¦

Is this not impressive? Jesus understood! But His parents didn”™t!

(NASB) Luke 2:50 “But they did not understand the statement which He had made to them.”

Jesus understood because He had experienced what the elite of Israel”™s teachers had only read about. (See verse 46)

Is this not impressive? Jesus had experienced Scripture!

(NASB) Luke 2:51 “And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and He continued in subjection to them;””¦

Jesus understood His role”¦He once again sacrificed His authority and submitted to the authority of His earthly parents.

He sacrificially submitted His authority ““ not just as the Son of God, but also as the son of Joseph and Mary.

Jesus understands you and your needs. He came as the Son of Man, fully human, to experience life where the rubber meets the road, for you.

This is one of the many reasons why He is worthy of your trust!

Life may not be as you think it should be”¦and there are times that it is hard to trust the living God of the Bible. No answers to questions, no answers to prayers, no answers”¦

Jesus understands! There may be answers but we don”™t understand them, or “˜see”™ them.

God is unlimited in how He teaches His children. But teach us He does. He uses loved ones, He uses difficult circumstances, He uses impossibilities and most of all He uses His word. His word states that we are to have faith in Him, no matter our emotions, no matter what our circumstances are like, no matter what.

(NASB) Hebrews 11:1 “NOW FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

The faith test: are you assured of things you hope for as a follower of Christ?

Are you convinced of things from God which you cannot now see?

Where have you placed your hope? In yourself, or in God?

Know that Jesus has understood in your past and He understands in your today.
