How I grow older is my choice. Some people become grumpier and cantankerous. Others choose to put on a smile and an attitude that is upbeat.

Which one of the above examples will you choose to become?

As you grow older, are you becoming more and more a child of God, just and devout in following Christ Jesus?

Simeon was a just and devout man ““ devoted to God.

(NASB) Luke 2:25-26 “And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord”™s Christ.”

As you grow older, are you “˜listening”™ to God through reading your Bible and living out what He says to do?

(NASB) Luke 2:27 “And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law,”

Simeon was available”¦available to be used of God, to receive His promises in his lifetime.

Have you made yourself available to God for His purposes for your life? What promises of God are really yours? Search the Scripture; be alert to “˜hear”™ what God has to say to you. Perhaps through a Biblically-based sermon, hymn, or through a prayer that honors God”¦are you “˜listening”™?
