You cannot simply walk up to the Queen of England. You must be invited into her presence. You need credentials and the right contact.

To be presented to the King over all kings ““ we need to be invited into His presence; we need credentials that entitle us (it is Christ alone Who entitles us) to have an audience with Him. We need Jesus as our Savior. He has given His Holy Spirit to live within all those who have received Him as their Savior. It is Jesus Who entitles us to be children of God.

A relationship with Jesus Christ has a historical record that no one can erase ““ is your name written in the Lamb”™s book of life? It is if you have received God”™s gift of His Son as your Savior.

Luke provided concrete historical records of the lineage of Jesus Christ ““ Messiah. Why is this important? When Christ comes again, He will come as King over all kings and kingdoms ““ His claim to David”™s throne cannot be disputed.

Why is this important for you today? After all, you are probably a Gentile, a person who is not of Jewish descent. And Jesus was a Jew. If you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and have received Him into your heart and life ““ then He is your Savior. One day everyone will bow their knees before the King of all kings. Historical records prove that Jesus is the rightful King. He has made it possible for you to approach Him without fear; He has provided the credentials that enable you to enter His presence.

Tomorrow”™s devotional will consider the historical records that Jesus is Who He claims to be, King over all kings.

Is He your King? Is He your Savior? If not, ask Him.

God has made a way for you and me to go into His presence. It is simple, it is forever. However, it does require acknowledgement of your need to be saved from those things that are wrong in your life. It requires the humility of asking ““ pride keeps many from this most marvelous gift of life, liberty and deliverance from sins.
