As you drive down a busy street, you see the signal light on green. You may accelerate to make that light. When you see a yellow light, how often do you approach it as a signal for caution? Now, imagine with me, as you approach that signal light it turns red. Most of the time do you accelerate? If you run a red light you become a violator of the law. Green, yellow and red lights are given to us in our relationship with God ““ are you listening and watching for those lights in your life?

Zacharias”™ prophecy is of Messiah and the Forerunner of Messiah (John the Baptist) and once again focuses on Messiah:

(NASB) Luke 1:78 “Because of the tender mercy of our God,

With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,”

God”™s mercy is tender ~ He has given you His words (the Holy Bible)

~ He gives desire to worship in His truth

~ He waits for your response to Him

~ He provides friends for you, people who love Him

~ He is available 24/7

Another name for Jesus Christ is “Sunrise” or “Dayspring” ““ He brings, and has brought, light.

(NASB) Luke 1:79 “To shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,

To guide our feet into the way of peace.”

It is Jesus Who has given light to those who sit in darkness. The darkness of emotions, the darkness of thoughts, the darkness of imprisonment of sin.

It is Jesus Who guides our feet into the way of peace”¦the peace with God”¦the peace with ourselves”¦the peace with others.

Until you and I have peace with God, we will not have true peace within or with others. Contentious attitudes should be a yellow light of caution to yield to God. We need to agree with Him. We need forgiveness for (you name your sin) and we need peace with Him, to guide our feet into the way of God”™s peace.

What indicators are there in your life which signal if you are out of a right relationship with God?

The yellow light of “˜Caution”™ and the red light of “˜Stop”™ need to be heeded, as well as, the green light of “˜Go”™.
