Whenever you have had a great need met – thankfulness should be the overwhelming response. God is ready to meet your great need…He has desired to bless anyone who has turned to Him in the past, in the present, and He will bless in the future. To recognize the benefits He wants to give you and me should result in adoration and praise of Him.

He alone forgives anything that has been done against Him when it is confessed as sin.

He alone heals anyone of diseases that produce illness – there are many types of illnesses that are based on spiritual needs that need to be met. Physical, mental, emotional, and/or social illnesses can be healed by God. It is amazing how God wants to give you relief from those diseases that attack your health. Does He always heal as we think we deserve or desire? No, I have not found that to be true. However, when we are in right relationship with Him, He strengthens us in our need, and many times heals us.

As an example: Have you asked another to pray for you when you were depressed and that dark cloud was lifted from your thinking? Praise be to God for that healing.

God alone buys a person back from death and destruction, His redeeming love has bought lives with the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, as that person has believed in Him.

God alone crowns me with lovingkindness and His tender mercies.

He satisfies my mouth with good things – and I am renewed with fresh purpose and eagerness to go into this day. (See Psalm 103:1-5)

God fills spiritually hungry people.

(NASB) Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

God’s good things bring a deep, satisfying sense of well-being and joy – no matter the circumstances…dependence on God will take away desperation that the world gives.

God gives satisfaction – His benefits are for this day.

If you do not hunger and thirst for God, ask Him…

A wise response to my desperate need for the famine and drought in my life is to call out to God…

Yielding to God and His authority is to embrace His will for yourself…

My God will fill my hunger and thirst with good things – the things that give life, peace and purpose in my life…has He in yours?

(NIV) Psalm 42:1-2a “AS THE deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.

2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

(NIV) Psalm 42:5 “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Mary knew this truth as she poured out her prayer in magnifying God:

(NASB) Luke 1:53 “HE HAS FILLED THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS;

And sent away the rich empty-handed.”

How shall you now pray?
