Families pass heirlooms from generation to generation…they pass their name on from generation to generation.
God’s family cannot pass their personal relationship to God on to their children. They can pass the evidence of their faith onto their children – then their children must make their own decision to choose or reject the Lord Jesus as their Savior.
(NASB) Luke 1:50 “And HIS MERCY IS UPON GENERATION AFTER GENERATION TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM.”
Mary knew God’s mercy because she had a right understanding of God. He is to be feared: -with Him is the power to give life, He has created people, the world and all that is in the world. He is to be feared.
How do you and I understand this God?
Think about this: He is pleased with anyone who accepts His Son. He is High and Majestic, He is the Creator Who spoke and what He spoke came into being
(See Genesis 1:1-27).
Wonder of wonders…one day…I will have greater understanding of God when I live with Him in eternity.
Let this understanding begin now Lord God my Savior – to have the understanding of why I am to reverentially fear You.

Mary knew that each person, each generation, has to have their own personal relationship with God. It is “From generation to generation”.
Each generation is to respond to the living God. To fear Him is to receive His mercy.
The dictionary defines “˜mercy’ as: “Kind and compassionate treatment of an offender, enemy, prisoner, of another person under one’s power; clemency”
That is just what I am…an offender, an enemy of God under His power and He has shown me mercy!
His amazing grace, His magnificent mercy…is there for you!!! Have you received it?
Have you ever said; literally, in prayer to the living God…I need Jesus as my Savior. I ask You to forgive me…Come into my life…that I might have life in Your presence.
Each person, each generation, is to respond to the living God, to fear Him, to receive His mercy…
