Keep your eyes upon Jesus…no matter who was elected to the office of President/Vice President of the United States. Keep your eyes upon Jesus…no matter if you live in a country where the leadership demands to be worshiped as in North Korea. Keep your eyes upon Jesus…when you face persecution and trauma for your faith in the living God. Keep your eyes upon Jesus…when life “˜happens’.

Only Jesus can be with you in your circumstances. The greatest message that was ever delivered was first delivered to prophets in the Old Testament. Then Zacharias and Elizabeth heard the Good News! Then Mary heard the astounding news that she was to be the mother of the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. She would be the chosen one to have the conception and the pregnancy that would bring Jesus into the world as the Son of Man.

There is no doubt as to the Father of Jesus:

(NASB) Luke 1:32 “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;”

God’s message to Mary through the angel Gabriel was the greatest news anyone could receive.

God the Father declared Himself to be the Father of Jesus, born of a virgin.

(NASB) Luke 1:33 “and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”

When the time comes for Jesus to come back to earth from heaven, He will claim His rightful place on the throne of David…for eternity.

Consider some things we learn about Jesus from the names that are His in the above two verses:

  • Son of the Most High

  • King on the throne of David

  • King Eternal

When you pray, you could begin your prayer with thinking about Who Jesus is! He is to be praised for He is the Son of the Most High. All majesty and might is His for He will one day sit on the throne as King…not only for that moment but for all eternity, His kingdom will be without end.

As you read your Bible, one way to concentrate is to look for the various names of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

How shall you now pray to this God Who will fulfill and

will do all that He has said He would?
