An invitation to dine out speaks of someone who wants to spend time with you. Dinner may be one of intimacy, of “˜getting to know you’, a time of sharing backgrounds and thoughts, dreams and the realities of life. There is One Who desires to “˜dine’ with you. He is knocking at the door of your life and you are the only one who has the ability to answer the door and open it.

Jesus says:

(NASB) Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

When you and I sense the need to take time to go alone with God and His word; that is Jesus knocking on the door.

To open your door to your life is to open yourself up to Him ~ the Lord Jesus Christ. For followers of Christ we can say, “˜My Lord and My God’.

He wants you! He loves you! He is the One Who wants to have a time alone with you! Wow! Isn’t that astounding? The Lord God of the Bible wants you to get to know Him by spending time with Him. That is God’s grace at work in your life. His grace, many times, is quiet and gently calling you.

When you answer His knock and open the door of your life to Jesus, He comes to dine with you. He doesn’t come just for a drive-thru, but to sit down and dine with you. That has to be the ultimate dining experience this side of heaven. The ultimate dining experience of a life-time can be every day!

You and I are invited by Jesus to sit at the table and eat our fill until our lives are filled with Him. Do you know Jesus as your Savior? If so, when was the last time you opened the door of your life to Him and dined with Him?

If you have not received Jesus as your Savior (recognizing and asking forgiveness for your sins, receiving Him into your life because He is the One Who saves you from the wrongs you have done), then now is the right time to do just that…what sins do you need to tell God about?

What sins are keeping you from the opportunity to live in God’s presence for eternity?

What things do you need to confess as sin and ask God’s forgiveness?

Have you received Jesus into your life and thanked Him for being the One Who saves you from your sins?

When anyone becomes a follower of Christ…that is what we are to do…follow Him. Dine with Him…doing what His word in the Holy Bible states.

All followers of Christ should be a part of His church, a church where God’s word is preached, taught and lived out among believers.

Baptism is a symbol of what has happened spiritually in a person who receives Jesus as their Savior. The old nature which is living without Christ is dead (buried). The new nature of Christ’s Spirit within is given. The symbolism of baptism is burial and then

raised with Christ to a new life.

You are invited to dine with Christ ~ today!

How shall you now pray?
