(NASB) Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

***Ruth placed her faith in the living God and He provided for her, He protected her and He used Boaz! God’s plans went far beyond the needs of two women in Bethlehem, recently arrived from Moab. God’s plans proceeded on course for Messiah.

God’s people are important to Him. You are one of His children, a part of His people when you receive His gift of forgiveness for your sins. All have sinned, and when we become “˜saved’ through Jesus Christ, we are still sinners. The difference being that we are saved from the things we do wrong against God. We need to keep a short list…asking God’s forgiveness as soon as we know that we have sinned. No one is without sin, except the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only One Who can make us right with God the Father.

Nothing can take you out of God’s hand once you receive His gift of eternal life.

No one can take you out of God’s hand once you receive His gift of eternal life.

God’s purposes prevailed in the lineage of His Son, the Messiah. Ruth and Boaz are a part of the list of who makes up Jesus Christ’s genealogy.

No matter what our life looks like today, we need to trust God to work out His purposes in our lives…even if we have totally messed up. When we turn to Him, we will still have the consequences of our choices to face but we have His help in our time of need. And, like Ruth, we need to trust Him when circumstances are beyond our control and make life difficult.

What prayer do you desire to pray in view of the following verses?

(NIV) Isaiah 40:28-31 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Trust God ~ He is “˜for’ you!

Ruth knew of God’s care for her, and you can too.
