GPS – God’s Plan of Salvation
Many people are looking for the way to go to heaven after they die…some people depend on religion, others depend on themselves and their good works, while others depend on their intelligence, or education, or position or power or wealth.
What does the living God of the Bible say is the way into His presence in heaven?
What compass do we need, what GPS has God provided?
The righteousness which God requires to enter into His presence has been made known through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:22) Relying on the Lord Jesus is essential, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (See (NIV) Romans 3:23).
There is a penalty for sins and that penalty is death…
(NIV) Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
In God’s mercy and love He has provided for your sins:
(NASB) Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God promises you that if you call on the name of the Lord you will be saved. (See Romans 10:13)
To call on the name of the Lord is to acknowledge Jesus:
(NIV) Romans 10:9-11 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’”
Jesus was talking with a Jewish religious leader:
(NIV) John 3:3 “…‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’”
Because Jesus Christ was raised from the grave of death through the glory of God the Father, we too will live a new life…a ‘born again’ life. (See Romans 6:4)
Once you have asked Jesus to be your Savior, you are forever His. No one can snatch you out of Jesus’ hand or the hand of God the Father, no one. (See John 10:28-29)
Jesus said: (NASB) John 5:24 “‘Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.’”
Have you ‘passed out of death into life’?
I pray that you accept God’s invitation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
