God’s sovereign choices can be noted throughout Scriptural history recorded in the Holy Bible.

Some of God’s sovereign choices can be noted in the book of Genesis.
Genesis 12:1-3 – God chose Abraham to become a nation.

Genesis 26:24-25 – God chose Isaac to carry on His authoritative choice.

Genesis 25:19-24 – God chose Jacob over his older twin to carry the name of Israel.

Genesis 49:10-12 – God chose the tribe of Judah to be the lineage of Messiah.

Genesis 48:8-20 – God chose the younger son of Joseph to be greater than his firstborn son.

Followers of Christ:
God’s sovereignty should be acknowledged – even in this day.
How do you “deal” with God’s authority in your life?
How does the Lord want us to recognize, to “deal” with, His sovereign choices as our God?

(NASB) Romans 12:1 “THEREFORE I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”

We are to yield to God and His ways for us – right where we are this moment.
Yielding to God is saying, ‘Your way, O Lord, not mine.’

(NASB) Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Yielding to God’s authority is to relinquish, to give up, our willful ways and desires.

When we yield to God and His sovereignty, our lives will prove His authority is “good and acceptable and perfect.”

~ Take it to heart ~

A question we can ask ourselves:
‘In what areas of my life do I need to yield to the living God’s sovereignty?’

When we yield to God and His sovereignty we will “…prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
