How do you respond to God’s warnings?  Do you ignore them?  Do you scoff at such ideas?  Do you think you won’t have to do anything?  How do you react to God’s warning of needing His Son as your Savior?

The patience of God
In the days of Noah… God warned the people of His coming judgment.  He warned them through Noah who preached to them as he built the ark.

(NASB) 1 Peter 3:20 “… when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons were brought safely through the water.”

Marriages, party time, life being lived without thought of God… this was life in the days of Noah.  Life is like the days of Noah – today.

In the days of Noah, God judged the world by bringing a flood.  People without faith in the living God did not understand the coming judgment until it was too late.

Jesus compared the days of Noah with His return.  When Christ Jesus sets His feet on this earth… He will come to judge the world.
(NASB) Matthew 24:38-39 “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

God continues to be patient as He warns us today.  God saw the corruption and violence in the days of Noah.  Don’t you think He sees the corruption and violence in the world today?  Make no mistake, the world will be judged by God.

God’s judgment is coming.
(NASB) Romans 2:5 “But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.”

~ Take it to heart ~

Today is like the days of Noah – now is the time today: turn to God and repent.

(NASB) Romans 2:4 “Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?”
