Grace: God’s Benevolence; God’s favor ~ Grace is God’s indescribable gift to all who receive His Son Jesus as Savior and Lord.

When was the last time you thanked God for His gift of grace?

His gift of grace cannot be earned.  His gift of grace is not deserved.  Yet, He gives His grace to all who turn to Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

  Saved by God’s grace:
(NASB) Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

  Humility receives God’s grace
(NASB) James 4:6-8 “But He gives a great grace.  Therefore it says, ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’
7 Submit therefore to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

  Sufficiency of God’s grace
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 12:9 “… ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

  Throne of God’s grace
(NASB) Hebrews 4:14-16 “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
16 Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
