Our bodies are made of the dust of the earth.  When our bodies die, they return to dust.  While we are living our bodies are earthen vessels.

Followers of Christ have within themselves a treasure!  A treasure of Light!  Our lives are to show others “the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus.”

This treasure is the surpassing greatness of God’s power – never our power.

What is turned upside down in your life?  How are you disillusioned?  What causes you anxiety and fear and dread?

For the followers of Christ, God’s power is still ours.
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves”

No matter our circumstances; no matter if our dreams have become nightmares; no matter that we have no control over what we thought we had control of – our God’s power is still exceedingly great over all of these things.

When we are frustrated and “hemmed in” with no place to go, we are to turn to our Savior.  It is His power; it is His death and life that is revealed in our lives.

Learn how to live sacrificially – by looking at Jesus!

Leaning on Jesus!

Loving Him and yielding to Him!

(NASB) Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Christ’s death, His resurrected life ~ what a treasure we have, fellow believers!
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:11 “For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.”

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.”

It is God’s power – not mine, never mine!
