What does God’s word say we have as followers of Christ?
(NASB) 2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;”

When we are under pressures of any kind – yet, we are not crushed.  We have God’s great power even in afflictions.

When we are perplexed and don’t know the next step – we are not despairing.  Why?  Because we have the surpassing greatness of God’s power.

When we are persecuted for being followers of Christ – we know that Jesus has not forsaken us.  We experience the surpassing greatness of God’s power.

When we are struck down by illness, or by inabilities, or by circumstances – we are not destroyed because we have the surpassing greatness of God’s power in our lives.

How do I approach each day?  With fear and/or dread?  God tells me that He is my confidence whatever my circumstances.

(NASB) Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?”

Because of the Surpassing Greatness of God’s Power ~

My confidence is in God my Savior.

He is my Light.

He is my Defense.
