Have you ever thought about the word “forever” and what it means for you?

A dictionary definition for “forever”: 1. For everlasting time; eternally.  2. At all times; incessantly.

Eternally, incessantly…what does the living God of the Holy Bible say about Himself and eternity?

God’s salvation and God’s righteousness are forever
(NASB) Isaiah 51:6 “Lift up your eyes to the sky,
Then look to the earth beneath;
For the sky will vanish like smoke,
And the earth will wear out like a garment
And its inhabitants will die in like manner;
But My salvation will be forever,
And My righteousness will not wane.”  (will not fail.)

The salvation God offers you is forever.  God always tells the truth!
His righteousness will never fail; it does not have an expiration date.

God Himself is eternal. His name is Holy.
 (NASB) Isaiah 57:15 “For thus says the high and exalted One
Who lives forever, whose name is Holy…”

(NASB) Psalm 102:25-27 “Of old You founded the earth,
And the heavens are the work or Your hands.
‘Even they will perish, but You endure;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
But You are the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.”

The earth and the heavens will come to an end…but the Holy God will not!

Jesus Himself said that His words are everlasting…
they will not pass away.

 (NASB) Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away,
but My words will not pass away.”

Take it to heart ~

God Himself is forever God.
God’s salvation is forever to all who receive Christ as their Savior.
God’s forever righteousness is given to His children…are you one of His children?
The words of God the Father and Jesus the Son are forever.

Do you believe what God says in the Holy Bible?

(NASB) Psalm 119:89 “Your word, O Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.”
