How can this be said without sounding unloving?  Love speaks truth.  Love warns.  Love is not always “warm and fuzzy.”  Love is greatly concerned for eternal outcomes in lives of people like you.

There is no escaping just punishment for our sins.  Either we are justly punished for the wrong things we do and say or we accept Jesus Christ.  He died on a cross for my sins and for your sins.  By faith we ask Him to be our Savior.  He took our sins as if they were His own.  He suffered and was punished as if my sins and yours were His.  He paid the penalty we deserve – death.

Then wonder of wonders, His perfect blood sacrifice was acceptable to Almighty God.  He was physically resurrected from death.

If we refuse, reject or ignore Him…then we are responsible for our sins before the living God.  We will not spend eternity with Him.

All people die.  There are but two choices of where we will spend eternity…either in hell, separated from God…or we will be in heaven with God Himself.

(NASB) Hebrews 12:25 “See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking.  For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.”

God warned His people not to refuse His commands in history.  You can read of it in the Old Testament.  God warns us not to refuse His words today.

When we refuse the living God there is no escaping His just punishment for our sins.  There is no escape when we refuse God’s warnings.

God’s love provides the escape from our just punishment we deserve, through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus.  Jesus came to save His people from their sins.  He took our just punishment when He died on a cross.  We need Jesus!

Take it to heart ~

Do not turn away from God’s warning.
Do not refuse God’s way for your salvation.

(NASB) Psalm 3:8 “Salvation belongs to the Lord…”

(NASB) Hebrews 2:3 “how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?…”
