There are many reasons for faith in the living God…these are but a few.

Blessings!  Assured hope!  Your help is the God of Jacob.  Your hope is in the Lord his God.  (Psalm 146:5)

The living God is Creator.  He created the heavens and the earth.  He made the sea and everything in them.

Incredible Creator!  It is the living God Who keeps faith forever.  (Psalm 146:6)

Do not trust others to save you.  Do not trust anyone to save you, even yourself – there is salvation in no one other than Jesus.  If you are depending on anyone, when that person dies, then where would you be?  (Psalm 146:3-4)

Only Jesus died for you and was resurrected to life – only faith in Jesus can save.

Reasons for faith in the living God
The living God upholds the cause of those who are oppressed.  He gives food to the hungry.  (Psalm 146:7)

Jesus said to hunger and thirst after righteousness…do you?

The living God gives sight to the blind, He lifts up those who are bowed down and He loves the righteous.  He protects strangers and temporary residents and He upholds the fatherless and the widow.  He thwarts the way of the wicked.  (Psalm 146:8-9)

From this list, where do you fit in?  Faith in the living God is to believe Him and His words – they are truth.

Faith trusts what God says.  Do you believe Him?

Do not believe the lie and deception that God’s words are myths, lies, or are an unsure foundation for your faith.  Nothing can be further from the truth.

Make no mistake!  Anyone who scoffs, makes fun of God’s words or misleads others will be judged by God.

(NIV) Hebrews 10:26-27 “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”

(NIV) Hebrews 10:30-31 “For we know him who said, ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay.’ And again, ‘The Lord will judge his people.  31It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

These are a few of the Reasons for faith in the living God

(NIV) Psalm 146:1-2 “PRAISE THE Lord.
Praise the Lord, O my soul.
2 I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.”

The living God is worthy of praise – we are to praise Him with our minds, our emotions and our wills.

We are to praise Him in our circumstances and not wait until we ‘feel’ like it.

We can praise Him right now – where we are sitting.
