Moses was commended by God for being faithful and following through with the work God called him to do.  (Numbers 12:7)

He led the Israelites out of slavery to the Promised Land.  He built a tabernacle according to God’s explicit plans.  (Exodus 40:16)

Moses was a great leader…he was faithful to God’s words.
The writer of Hebrews tells us…Jesus is greater than Moses…He is “counted worthy of more glory than Moses.”  (Hebrews 3:3)

An illustration is given of a builder and a house.  A builder has more honor than the house he/she builds.  (Hebrews 3:3)

What does the writer of Hebrews say about God?
(Amplified Bible) Hebrews 3:4 “For [of course] every house is built and furnished by someone by the Builder of all things and the Furnisher [of the entire equipment of all things] is God.”

Jesus is the Builder; He is the Furnisher of everything needful for salvation and triumphant living…no matter what is happening.

Upon whom are you depending to get you through this day?  Your own strength and will or on God’s strength and will for you?

Do you depend on people from the past or the present or on the living God whose words are faithfully recorded?

Moses was a great man…no doubt about it…but Jesus is greater than Moses.

Who are you depending on?
