Paul told a Jewish mob his story.  This devotional is picking up his story after his encounter with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus.  (Acts 22:1-11)

(NASB) Acts 22:12-16 “A certain Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there (Damascus),
13 came to me, and standing near said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’  And at that very time I looked up at him.
14 ‘And he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear an utterance from His mouth.
15 ‘For you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard.
16 ‘Now why do you delay?  Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’”

Saul received back his sight and was appointed by the God of the Old Testament to know His will.  He was appointed to see the Righteous One (Jesus Christ) and to hear His instructions.

Saul was to be a witness for the Lord Jesus to all men – Jews and Gentiles, telling others his story.

Saul was changed by Jesus.  His name was changed to Paul.  His motives, goals and purpose in life were changed.  He was changed from persecuting believers in Christ Jesus to being an apostle for Christ Jesus.

How has your life been radically changed since you first believed in Jesus?  For some, the change happened quickly as it happened for Saul.

Others the radical change happens over time, as belief and faith in Jesus grows deeper.
Either way, there is a marked difference in motives, attitude, goals, words and the way we think.  Our focus will be more and more on pleasing the living Lord Jesus Christ.

Think about this!  For the follower of Christ there is a radical change in where you will spend eternity!

Paul’s story is dramatic.  Perhaps your story is also dramatic or it is a quiet and growing faith in Jesus. Dramatic or quiet, you receive the radical change of where you will spend eternity.  You will be in the presence of the God of the Bible!

Paul’s story…your story…
are important to the living God of the Holy Bible.
